DISCOVER SCUBADiscover Scuba is designed to allow you the opportunity to experience SCUBA in a pool while under the direct supervision of a Professional Scuba Instructor. Anyone who is in good health, comfortable in the water and relatively fit can experience Discover Scuba. If you have children ages 10 or older they can also join in the fun. During the Discover Scuba course you will learn diving basics, become familiar with the equipment and diving techniques. The course is designed to allow optimum time in the water. You will spend about thirty minutes in a classroom environment and then spend up to 2 hours in the pool.
The cost for the Discover Scuba course is $75.00. This covers the use of all equipment required for this course. SCUBA REVIEW Scuba Review is designed to give certified divers, that have not been actively diving, the opportunity to review current scuba equipment and review their skills. A valid certification card is required to take this course. The Scuba Review course reacquaints divers with the equipment and diving techniques. You will 2-3 hours of class room setting and 2-3 hours of pool time to review and practice necessary skills. Each participant will have an option for an open water dive* at either the ocean, lake or spring. The Scuba Review Course has been developed as a performance based course. As you successfully demonstrate each portion of the course you move onto the next. This allows you to move at your own pace. The course can be completed in as few as two days or take up to 5 or more weeks. The cost of the Scuba Review cover course tuition and pool rental. Additional cost will be required if you choose to participate in the optional open water dive*. An Open Water Manual and a Current Recreational Dive Planner is required and each student must also have a dive log book. Each student must have all necessary equipment for the pool and the open water dives (mask, fins, snorkel, boots, wetsuit, weights and belt, regulator with console/compass and second stage and a BCD). If you do not own your own equipment Black Tip Divers has equipment that you may rent. Please contact us prior to you class so that we can have the equipment you need.
Price does NOT include, transportation to and from your open water dives, food, drinks or lodging during open water dives, lake entry fee, air fills during open water dives, dive equipment or wet suit rental for your open water dives.
